Essa man accused of grabbing 11-year-old girl's buttocks

Not once, but twice. Police are now asking for other potential victims to come forward

The Barrie Police Service has arrested and charged a 32-year-old Essa Township man for two counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.

On Thursday, November 19, 2015 while in a south end retail store in the City of Barrie, the accused approached an 11-year-old female from behind and grabbed her buttocks. 

The female quickly left the area, although he continued to follow her throughout the store, and grabbed her buttocks for a second time.

The accused fled the store upon the female leaving with her family, although he was located within a short time by police in the area.

The accused can be described as:

  • Male, white (32 yrs.)
  • Thin build
  • 5’4, 135 lbs
  • Blue eyes
  • Short brown hair and a goatee

Further investigation has led Police to believe there may be more victims.
