On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, just after midnight, South Simcoe Police, along with our other emergency services partners from Innisfil Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics, responded to a single car crash on Victoria Street in Stroud.

A 61-year-old man had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing him to veer off the road and strike a tree.

He was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing and Highway Traffic Act charges are expected.
