On Sunday, December 13, 2015, just before 11 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Quail Crescent as a result of a Highway Traffic Act infraction.
Further investigation found the driver of the vehicle was under a criminal code driving suspension as a result of being convicted of dangerous driving earlier this year.
Police located what they believed to be cocaine within the vehicle at the time of the arrest.
A 29-year-old Barrie male has been charged with drive while disqualified, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.
The male was released on a promise to appear and will appear in a Barrie court Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
