The man accused of first-degree murder in the deaths of a Barrie father and his son has retained Toronto lawyer Adele Monaco.

Dyrrin Daley, 24, made another court appearance via video and was remanded in custody to Mar. 9.

Monaco did not attend but in a note to the court said she will be requesting disclosure.

Jamie Pasowisty, 51, and his son Nickolas, 19, were found stabbed to death in their William Street apartment on Feb. 8.

Daley was arrested at a Marcus Street home within hours of the discovery of the bodies.

Funerals for both victims were held together on Family Day in Barrie.

Police said the men and the suspect knew each other but have not released an alleged motive.
