A popular U.S.-based diner is set to fire up the grills in Barrie in coming weeks.
Denny’s — an all-day breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night spot — was initially scheduled to officially open the doors to customers today (Aug. 23) at 10 a.m., according to a sign on the front door. However, the grand opening date may need to be delayed, manager Dhruv Patel confirmed to BarrieToday.
Located in the Kozlov Centre at 400 Bayfield St., Denny's Barrie will be able to serve up to 120 customers, he said.
“We are excited, but are dealing with some problems right now,” Patel said Tuesday afternoon.
The Barrie location will join the more than 70 other Denny’s restaurants in Canada.
“We are excited to be a part of the fun, scenic and close-knit community that comprises this wonderful city,” said a statement on Denny’s Canada website, which also urged residents to to keep up to date by following the restaurant on both Facebook and Instagram.
