Brandon Monague of Coldwater knows how to pick ’em. His Daily Keno 7 Pick resulted in a $50,000 win in the April 8 evening draw.

Brandon, a regular player with OLG for about 30 years, enjoys playing Daily Keno and Lotto Max when the jackpot is big.

“I play my own numbers but they are random picks,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up his winnings. “I also once won $25,000 on an Instant ticket in 2017.”

The 61-year-old father says he was sitting at the breakfast table when he checked his ticket using the OLG App.

“I was very happy to see Big Winner pop up,” he smiled. “I had to check it again to be sure. I never expected this to happen.”

Brandon hasn’t told anyone about his big win yet.

“I plan to surprise my wife with the news tonight. I knew I would need to show her the cheque for her to believe me,” he laughed. “She will be shocked and happy.”

He plans to pay some bills and celebrate with a family vacation.

OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. We strongly encourage those with claims between $1,000 and $49,999.90 to submit them online or mail them, as appointment availability at this prize level is limited. Submitting claims online is fast and secure. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.

Daily Keno players pick their strategy (from a 2 Pick to a 10 Pick) and pick their bet ($1, $2, $5 or $10) to pick their prize. Visit the Daily Keno page on OLG.ca for more information.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hasty Market on West Street in Orillia.
