City Hall ice rink open for skating

Circle at the Centre at 70 Collier St. is open and ready for skating

The only city-run outdoor rink currently open is one of the most picturesque and it is ready for skaters.

Circle at the Centre is seeing people skating on it already, having been officially opened Friday. The ice rink located at 70 Collier St., right in front of the doors of city hall, is one of 12 ice pads and rinks (seven being outdoors) that city maintains each winter.

Circle at the Centre is for leisurely skating and does not allow hockey. Open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weather-permitting), the outdoor rink is the perfect spot for families, dates and beginners to take in a relaxing skate in the shadow of city hall while music plays on the speakers.

Check the city’s website for any changes to the rink due to weather.
