Barrie Police are on the hunt for a suspect who broke into the Tim Hortons on Barrie View Drive early Christmas morning.

Const. Mike Velema tells Barrie Today that a suspect initially tried to pry open the drive-through window but wound up busting down the back door with a crowbar around 1:51 a.m. on Christmas Day.

The location was closed for the holiday and the lights were on inside of the store.

"The suspect spent two or three minutes inside the store," said Velema.  "Nothing was taken. It's bizarre."

And other than damage to the back door, the restaurant was left intact with no damage inside the building.

Police released a security camera image of a suspect obtained from cameras inside the Tim Hortons.
