Big melt brings Barrie out

Mild end to January

Milder temperatures brought Barrie residents out walking, skating, jogging and in some cases - riding motorcyles.

You don't normally see motorcycles on the brink of February.

What little ice was on Kempenfelt Bay was pooling with water but that didn't stop some people from taking a skate at Centennial Beach.

There were much fewer anglers ice fishing due to the warm-up.
