This Saturday, Open Air Dunlop rolls in again. Dunlop Street will be closed to cars and open to pedestrians, play, bikes, roller skates, unicycles and more from Maple Avenue to Mulcaster Street.

This weekend the Downtown Barrie BIA is thrilled to partner with the Troubadour Festival that will fill Meridian Place with a stellar schedule of amazing bands. The festival kicks off on Friday at 5 p.m. and the headliner at 8:30 p.m. is the most dynamic cover band around, Dwayne Gretzky. Saturday starts at 4 p.m. and topping it all off at 8:30 p.m. are Natalie McMaster and Donnell Leahy. For the full music lineup and times go to www.troubadourfestival.ca.

Open Air Dunlop continues this Saturday.

Stop by Meridian Place from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. for Urban Sketching with Spare Room Barrie. All materials provided. Join Yoga in the Square at 10 a.m. at Memorial Square, Meridian Place, with Nook Yoga. From 12 till 4 p.m. all ages and abilities can stroll by Dunlop Street West to catch Jenn Guerin from Art with Purpose. Watch for our on-street interactive performers throughout Saturday — always fun and engaging for the entire family.

Of course, our local businesses will be open for you to browse and shop at your leisure and then top off a great visit with a patio snack and bevy.
