Bayfield St. shed 'completely destroyed' in Sunday night fire (VIDEO)

Barrie Fire received the call near Grove Street at 7:10 p.m. and had crews on scene within four minutes

A fire in a shed on Bayfield Street was brought under control in under 60 minutes, Sunday night.

Barrie Fire received the call near Grove Street at 7:10 p.m., Feb. 27, and had three trucks and a platoon chief on scene within four minutes.

Barrie Fire deputy chief Carrie Clark told BarrieToday “the small shed was extinguished and the home turned over to the homeowner within an hour of the call.”

Video of the fire on a neighbour’s Facebook page showed a large, raging blaze.

Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said the fire doesn't seem to be suspicious in nature.

“Police were involved last night because we called the homeowner to inform them fire crews were entering the home to make sure there was no smoke damage,” Leon said.

“The home appeared to be in the middle of renovation and there were no injuries, but the shed was completely destroyed," he added.
