After two successful Kempenfest shows on Centennial Beach, Barrie Wrestling gets ready for its last two events of the summer.

Barrie Wrestling returns to 49 Ferris Lane this Saturday, Aug. 13, for The Heat is On, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and bell time at 5 p.m.

As always, Domino’s Pizza will be available for purchase.

The family-friendly wrestling promotion has run shows monthly out of the venue since 2014 but is coming off our busiest summer ever, having held seven shows in just over a month.

To celebrate the success, Barrie Wrestling will be holding a Summer Social Party at Last Level Lounge on Friday, Aug. 19.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at 72 Dunlop St. E. and is free entry for those on the list of attendees. Barrie Wrestling will have prizes for winners of some games and will be filming segments for its YouTube and Patreon pages.

The event this Saturday will have six matches, including the extremely popular Alexia Nicole getting a shot at the Barrie Wrestling Heavyweight Championship, held by Gabriel Fuerza.

PCW U.K. Cruiserweight Champion Vaughn Vertigo and Three Pistols Champion Myung Jae Lee will be in action, as will the most popular duo in the promotion’s history, Puf and Pretty Ricky.

This Saturday there will also be an announcement regarding the annual September show (Sept. 10) that will include the return of a wrestler that is now a television regular and the partnering with a local charity.

Tickets for this Saturday, Aug. 13, are $25 for front row, $20 for general admission and can be purchased at OMG Games, Doug Laurie Sports and Auctions or by contacting Barrie Wrestling on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and email at [email protected].
