Barrie woman faces charges following North Bay stabbing (UPDATE)

A 25-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation in connection with a fight between two females on Worthington Street West on Saturday.  

North Bay Police responded to the call. When they arrived at the scene they found one female with a stab wound to the arm. 

After investigating, North Bay police arrested and charged the accused and kept her in custody for a court appearance. 

The victim was taken to hospital, treated and released.  

North Bay Police arrested and charged Katelynn Yakeley, age 25, of Barrie, Ontario with:

One count of assault with a weapon; and
One count of breach of probation.

Police say that shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday (October 24th 2015) during a social gathering at a home on Worthington Street West, an argument turned violent when a woman stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife
