Toronto, ON – George Goode of Barrie said yes to ENCORE (May 5, 2017 LOTTO MAX) and won $100,000. George matched six of the seven winning numbers on his ENCORE selection.

“I buy lottery tickets occasionally and always at the same store,” shared George while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “And I always add ENCORE.”

The retired, married father of three was at the store to pick up some milk when he decided to buy some lottery tickets. “I put them in my wallet and forgot all about them. A few weeks later, I had several tickets to check so I looked up the winning numbers on olg.ca.”

The last ticket George checked was the winner. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I immediately called my wife to verify the ticket and she said, ‘Sign the ticket!’ I couldn’t wait to collect my prize. My wife came with me to the Prize Centre in Toronto where we validated the ticket.”

Plans are underway for George’s windfall. “This prize amount will go towards my family and possibly a trip. Winning the lottery is the most exciting news with the exception of the birth of our children,” he joked.

ENCORE can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Little Avenue in Barrie.
