Barrie Police seek help finding missing woman (update: found)

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Melissa Pember who was reported missing yesterday afternoon.

From the investigation which has followed, police have determined that she attended an appointment on Wednesday evening on Bayfield Street in the City of Barrie and was last heard from shortly after 7:30 p.m. when she text messaged a friend indicating that she was on her way home and she never arrived.

Also, police have confirmed that Melissa failed to show up for work on Thursday and Friday which is out of character for her.

Melissa is described as female white, 29-years old, 5’4, 111 lbs., red medium length coloured hair, fair to light complexion, brown coloured eyes and a left nostril piercing. She is believed to be wearing black coloured shoes.

Police, family and friends are concerned for the personal well-being of Melissa Pember and are asking that anyone with information on where she may be to please contact the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2129 or by dialing 911.
