The rain came down in Barrie and in many areas of Simcoe County on Saturday night and into Sunday.
The area saw more than 10 millimetres of rain fall over the 12-hour time period.
The showers turned to drizzle near noon on Sunday.
Tonight will be mainly cloudy with 40 per cent chance of drizzle this evening and will clear overnight.
According to The Weather Network, the highest precipitation recorded in Barrie on Oct. 27 was 42.9 millimetres in 1872.
