The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the 2024 Women in Business Awards, proudly presented by Meridian.

This event aims to celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of women in Barrie. We are excited to have Amy Aust from Kool 107.5 FM as our master of ceremonies.

The Barrie community’s engagement in the nomination process has spotlighted women and women-led organizations that have significantly exceeded expectations and achieved remarkable success over the past year. Our awards management platform, Awardify, manages and conducts our nominations, acceptances, and judging, ensuring a secure and transparent process.

We’re delighted with the response to our call for nominations from the public. Our process ran from Nov. 29, 2023, to Jan. 3, 2024, receiving 136 nominations. A big thank you to the 50 nominees who accepted and completed their submissions by Jan. 22. We celebrate this year’s participants and encourage even more nominees to engage in future events.

Thank you to everyone involved. Let’s aim for even greater participation next time and continue to uplift our community’s achievements.

The Women in Business Awards strives to pay tribute to the women who have played a role in shaping our community through their dedication to social responsibility, innovative entrepreneurship, fearless risk taking, and groundbreaking achievements. It is an occasion to recognize and honour these trailblazers and leaders among us, ensuring they receive the recognition and admiration they deserve.
