Barrie Air Show stars have landed

Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet ready to go for tomorrow's big event

Canada's Snowbirds roared over Barrie Tuesday afternoon before landing at Lake Simcoe Regional Airport in front of an enthralled crowd.

Nine of the turbojet engined CT-114 Tutor aircraft will fly over Kempenfelt Bay starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday and there won't be a bad seat in the house.

Spectators can gather right around the Bay to catch the thrilling stunts and swoops of Canada's famed and beloved air demonstration team.

A CF-18 fighter jet piloted by Matt Kutryk will also delight the crowds with its air acrobatics along with the Great War Flying Museum.

The Air Show welcome address will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m.

CFB Borden will host military ground displays, including the kiddie commando course, in Heritage Park from 1 to 9 p.m.
