The popular Vendors Market at Heidi’s Campground is returning this summer.

The market features more than 90 vendors with home-based artisans and multi-level marketing vendors.

Cheryl Fournier, the organizer of the market, says people can find jewellery, food, clothing, candles, and more during the event.

“There is something for everyone of all ages,” she said. “People like to support local.”

Because they are home-based businesses, vendor markets and craft sales are one of the only ways for vendors to gain exposure, Fournier says.

“Last year the market was very well received,” she said. “We were asked by Heidi’s to do it every single week.”

Fournier says transitioning the event into a weekly occurrence would be a lot of work as most vendors enjoy travelling to different venues around the region.

“Doing it yearly keeps it fresh and interesting,” she said. “You never know what vendors will be coming in this way.

Fournier says Heidi’s Campground is the perfect venue for the event.

“The location is feasible because it’s right off the highway,” she said. “We are attracting people from as far as North Bay, Lindsay, Burlington, and Hamilton. It’s a central location.”

The market is something that can continue to be built into something larger each year, Fournier says. She hopes both the number of vendors and patrons will continue to grow.

This year’s event happens on Saturday, July 23. from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. The campground is already completely sold out and there is no fee to attend for members of the public.

The Sharing Place Food Centre will be on-site during the market to collect monetary and food donations and attendees are asked to support the cause.
