17-year-old charged with impaired driving

On the 5th December 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Barrie Police on routine patrol stopped a motor vehicle in the Tiffin and Anne St S area.

Impaired /Over 80 Mg (3 Day Suspension)

On the 5th December 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Barrie Police on routine patrol stopped a motor vehicle in the Tiffin and Anne St S area. 

Police conducted an investigation into the sporadic actions of the 17-year-old male, youth driver.

As a result of that investigation the driver was arrested for Impaired /Over 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood. 

He was transported to the barrie Police Service Headquarters to provide a sample of his breath.

As a result of that test, the youth had his license suspended and seized for 3 days. 

He was held until sober and when he could be released to his parents. 

His parents motor vehicle was subsequently towed.

Police remind drivers to plan ahead and make alternate arrangements if you plan to consume alcohol.
