The Kempenfelt Players present a heartwarming show entitled The Big One-Oh! JR., a wildly creative, funny, and clever coming-of-age story full of so much heart, magic, and endless fun!
Charley Maplewood is about to reach a milestone: he’s turning 10 – the big one-oh! He has never been one for parties — that would require friends, which he doesn’t have.
Well, unless you count his monster friends, but they’re only imaginary.
Charley’s still adjusting to his parents’ divorce and his move to a completely new school. Now that he’s turning 10, he decides to throw a birthday party for himself, complete with a “House of Horrors” theme.
Of course, things don’t work out as he plans. Will Charley be able to pull it together before the big one-oh… becomes the big OH-NO!?
Join us at the Georgian Theatre, Nov. 10-12, and immerse yourself in this truly interactive theatrical experience for kids. Complete with free pre-show face painting, a balloon wall photo booth, souvenir comic book programs, birthday grab bags, and a very special 10th birthday celebration!
If you were born in 2013, your ticket purchase (with registration) includes a complimentary grab bag full of goodies, a sweet treat for the show, face painting, and you will be assigned your very own birthday ambassador who will escort you up onto the stage for some special photos with the cast!
