The Simcoe County Museum is offering a variety of activities on Family Day.

The museum in Midhurst will be open Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., when visitors can take part in snowshoeing and tobogganing and access the skate trail, weather permitting.

Indoor activities will also be available, including a games lounge, a tour of the museum galleries, and a travelling exhibit called Tales of Fantasy, which is on loan from the Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science. There will be a food room, where guests can enjoy chili or a hot dog.

Special-event admission will be in effect Monday: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for children, and free for preschoolers and museum members. All activities are included with the price of admission.

Visitors should bring their own skates, helmets, skate assists and toboggans. Snowshoe rentals and crazy carpets will be available free of charge.
