Innisfil Community Events (ICE) says it's excited to provide a night of laughs when they host the Innisfil Comedy Night at the Stroud Innisfil Community Centre on Saturday, May 27.
World-class comedy acts, raffles,and door prizes are sure to excite and entertain, and a 50/50 draw that will benefit the Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka supports a good cause.
Food trucks will be at the Stroud Innisfil Community Centre, located at 7883 Yonge St., for hungry patrons, while beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages will be on sale.
With approximately 170 seats in the venue, community members are urged to reserve their tickets in advance for $35 apiece for this 19plus, accessible event that will take place in the banquet hall.
Comedians Tyler Morrison, Greg Enwright and Andrew Cholfe will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Morrison is described as one of the fastest-rising comedians in North America. He will be the headliner at Innisfil Comedy Night "with his hilarious brand of working-class comedy."
"After winning the Dark Comedy Festival in Toronto, Morrison has headlined comedy clubs across Canada appearing as part of Andrew Schulz’s Matador Tour, Doug Stanhope’s Second Wind Tour, YHAJ Roast Battle at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, and Toronto’s annual Massey Hall New Year’s Eve Extravaganza," organizers say.
Described as a successful producer of Sin Bin Comedy and a crowd favourite wherever he goes, Greg Enwright will join Morrison as the emcee of Innisfil Comedy Night, in addition to Andrew Cholfe, who is best known for his work in stand-up, performing on some of Toronto’s most famous comedy stages including the Second City Main Stage, Yuk Yuk’s Toronto, Absolute Comedy Toronto, the Factory Theatre, and Comedy Bar, as well as international stages like Improv Boston and the Boom Chicago Festival in Amsterdam.
