“Brock Mattsson is somewhat of a new and quite mysterious artist in the country world,” said FLEX Music Blog.

Brock, being a Barrie native, is returning to Barrie, but this time on tour. Singer-songwriter Brock Mattsson started his sound in Barrie and now resides in the mouth of the St. Lawrence, on Prince Edward Island in Summerside.

Growing up and looking up to his grandfather, Larry Mattsson, a Canadian country music star, Brock is no stranger to country music. With only two singles out to date, Rather Be with You and Are You Thinking of Me, Brock takes listeners back to the ’60s, where artists like George Jones, Porter Wagoner and Merle Haggard all sang about life, in all its love and heartache.

In the past Brock has performed over southern and northern Ontario, hoping to bring the sound of country music heartache to all those whose love for it still flourishes. If you’re a fan of old-school, smoke-filled-tavern-style country music, then you’ll love Brock Mattsson.

Brock is joined by Cold Tea and Kub Music. Cold Tea consists of Vale Abbott, who grew up in Toronto. Vale’s music draws from personal history leaving an ethereal experience, blending the storytelling of classic folk music and the dreamier perspective of more contemporary styles. Listeners will feel as though Cold Tea reminds them of Bon Iver and Feist.

Caleb from /KɅB/ is a singer songwriter with a soulful voice who accompanies himself with a guitar and double bass. He grew up in North Bay, playing music at a young age, and was inspired by other musicians in his family. Although he had a start in traditional and classical violin playing, Caleb found himself drawn to the double bass, and headed to Montreal. His music brought him all over Canada, and even down to California. It’s these experiences that continue to inspire him and are reflected in his songwriting.

Attendees can also enjoy free parking on weekends, $4.50 domestic drink and bar rail specials, and the opportunity to meet and greet their favourite artists.

Tickets will be available online on Eventbrite.

Don’t miss out on this unreal experience. Get your advance tickets now and witness the incredible performances of Brock Mattsson, Cold Tea, and /KɅB/. For more information, visit LiveBarrie’s website or follow them on social media.
