I just want to say thank you so much for your support and care when I fell backward out of my husband's van and hit the back of my head and my back on Friday, April 22. I could not move because of the pain.

I feel God must have sent some angels to be in the parking lot or team members at Shoppers Drug Mart on Wellington Street in Barrie.

The first angel to help kept me calm and talked me through the pain, drove a pickup truck and put a sweater under my head as I lay on the pavement. He obviously had medical training. I didn’t get his name, but I hope he reads this.

An ambulance was called for me – as it turns out, an ambulance was called to the same mall at the same time and the first ambulance stopped to help someone at the entrance to the mall.

A second ambulance arrived, but thought that it must have been a mistake to also be there.

That’s when the second angel, Gerrie, Shoppers store manager, set a record for sprinting across the mall to let them know we needed another ambulance in our area. She beat the ambulance back! Some of the other Shoppers Drug Mart employees – Sam, Geoff and Tyrese  are only a few of the team.

The emergency medical services were highly competent and soothing. They managed to get me onto a body-board and placed support around my neck. They work out of Craighurst. I’m’ sure they would not describe themselves as angels, but I sure felt like it.

I really appreciate everyone who helped. People will walk in and out of my life. You have created a memory and left your footprints in my heart.
