The following letter is in response to a column titled 'FAIR COMMENT: Waterfront ballpark 'highly unlikely',' published Aug. 23.

If the Barrie Baycats were a thriving business with their stadium overrun with crowds, a case could be made to build a bigger and better stadium.

Let’s keep our business and financial heads in this game.

They have not received support for a new stadium in the past and nothing has changed to warrant another take at this. Please stop wasting taxpayer money and council’s time.

The waterfront is for everyone. The majority of Barrie residents do not support a new stadium on the waterfront.
