When Metrolinx claims it has people's safety in mind around railway lines, why has it not demonstrated that by installing barriers blocking intruders from reaching train tracks in the first place?

The number of lives claimed by trains belonging to Metrolinx is somewhat worrisome regardless of whether investigations say these deaths were accidental or intentional, i.e, self-caused.

Proper barriers must be erected to prevent human or animal intrusion, as much as this means riders would their favourite sights and sight lines along GO's many picturesque routes.

It is surprising that Ontario's political parties have not broached this particular topic during election periods as it is clearly a missing piece from the transit safety puzzle.
