Konrad Brenner’s letter regarding Orillia’s lack of public waterfront is very interesting.

The mayor and members of Orillia’s council really should take a short drive south where they could see Barrie’s waterfront park. It is beautiful. It is popular. It is very well used.

Finally, it has something for “everybody” – there are manicured grassy areas, children’s play areas, paths (some maintained year-round), a war memorial, and areas left for nature where foxes are known to den.

Orillia can and should do better for its citizens.
