We need to treat addicts, not create addicts.
I think Mayor Jeff Lehman and city council are being led down the rabbit hole with by people with good intentions when it comes to having a safe injection site.
If they even looked at cities in the states like San Francisco and Seattle, they would see the results of supporting and making addicts they would see that this here safe injection site plan does not work. More people end up dead from overdose as he says just add to their addiction.
I would be much happier if I could see my tax dollars going to a drug rehab centre, a facility that helps people get off drugs and gives them some life skills to find housing and integrate as functioning citizens back into society.
In every city that has tried a safe injection site, the area becomes a crime-ridden, homeless, destitute place for ill people together.
