With regard to previous letters concerning the Bradford Bypass linking Highway 404 with Highway 400, and those who say the bypass will only save 30 to 60 seconds on a trip from Toronto to Barrie/Innisfil: These people obviously do not work in the GTA and live in the Innisfil/Barrie area.

A lot more than 30 to 60 seconds will be saved by using this bypass once it is completed.

As more and more people are moving from the GTA to the Barrie area, more roads are unfortunately needed.

Green energy is not the answer, as the price of electric vehicles (EVs) is beyond the affordability of most people, plus charging stations are few and far between. Plus, those folks who drive south for the winter could not make the trip in an EV as once again, charging stations are not in abundance in the U.S. along the southbound routes, so those people would need two vehicles.

The link is long overdue and so let’s get it done to reduce travelling time for commuters.

One last comment  in many cases the GO train is not a viable option unless you work along the GO train line.
