This year, the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is celebrating 32 years of bringing hope to thousands of people across the country who have been affected by breast cancer.

With one in eight women expected to face a diagnosis in their lifetime, breast cancer affects us all. When you run for one, you run for all.

Since it first began more than three decades ago, the CIBC Run for the Cure has made a lasting impact on breast cancer outcomes in Canada through life-saving research. It’s because of funds raised through the Run that we know more than ever before about how to prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat breast cancer.

Together with our supporters, we’ve shaped the breast cancer landscape. But there’s more to be done.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, we’re inviting residents of all ages in the Barrie/Orillia areas to join us at 8 a.m. at Heritage Park in Barrie, to run or walk either one kilometre or five kilometres, in support of the breast cancer cause.

Funds raised through the event enable us to continue to work with governments to shape a healthier society, provide vitally important support programs and invest in groundbreaking breast cancer research.

Join us to help change the future of breast cancer forever! For more information or to register visit CIBCRunForTheCure.com.
