Criticizing the Busby Centre and other social service providers has become commonplace in Barrie.
We assume these organizations must be inefficient, ineffective or worse.
My sense is that the Busby and its partners continue to work as valiantly as ever with resources that simply can’t keep up with the growing needs of hard-to-serve populations. They aren’t quitting and neither should we.
If the strategies need rethinking, let’s have those conversations.
In the meantime, how about we ask them what they need and dig in to support them?
