Hi there. I just wanted to reach out and share gratitude for the Barrie firefighter who came by and suggested we check our smoke detectors.

I wish I had listened. I didn't. And only discovered that none of the smoke detectors were working when we woke up to a house full of smoke.

I posted the story on Tik Tok and think it might be a good reminder to our community to actually check the detectors.
