I am in complete agreement with Mr. Gordon. We seem to be intent on covering the whole area in concrete.

There used to be beautiful fields of sunflowers just north of Mapleview Drive. Now the area is covered in ugly, false-front townhouses, some of which face right onto Yonge Street.

Who in the city's offices approves these projects?

On Lockhart Road, there were stands of healthy pine trees, which have been felled to make way for a large building which looks like a factory of some type.

If Barrie is going to contribute to the efforts to bring this country to zero emissions, I think that some thought should be given to the fact that foliage absorbs CO2 and emits oxygen. Without it, we get smog.

Some parts of Barrie are attractive and can be enjoyed by everyone, such as the waterfront area along Lakeshore Drive, but elsewhere we seem to be cramming people into unsightly buildings which, in my opinion, will do nothing to enhance the attractiveness of Barrie.
