To help high school students keep the learning going while schools are closed Scholarly Elite Tutoring will be live-streaming free math help. A qualified mathematics tutor will be providing live instruction and answering student math questions in real-time via the livestream chat.

“During this time of uncertainty, we wanted to provide our community some support and help students feel empowered,” says Arlinda Demiri, owner and Chief Executive Officer of Scholarly Elite Tutoring. “Even though schools are closed right now, our community still stands strong in support of their success.”

Families can access the YouTube livestream link by visiting www.FreeMathHelp.ca. Their first session is on Thursday, April 2, 2020, from 1-6 p.m. EDT and will run weekly on Thursdays until either the schools re-open or summer begins. The schedule by grade is below:

  • Grade 9 from 1 -2 p.m.
  • Grade 10 from 2-3 p.m.
  • Grade 12 from 5-6 p.m.
  • Grade 11 from 4 -5 p.m.

“FreeMathHelp.ca gives students an outlet where they can ask their math questions and feel more confident in their work. Our team of math experts hopes to offer some relief to parents by providing high school level math support,” Demiri added.

The weekly program will provide a math lesson highlighting the most important skills for each grade and will answer any math questions students send in during the stream. The certified math educator will work through step-by-step examples of crucial math skills.

Students are encouraged to send along their math questions during the YouTube livestream chat or by email to [email protected] for the host to answer as many questions as possible each week.
