Henry Kooistra is running for deputy mayor of Innisfil to deliver steady, sensible leadership to move our town forward in a responsible way.

Henry is a local businessman, father and grandfather. He grew up in the Holland Marsh and spent the summers at his grandparents’ farm in Innisfil.

He has lived and worked his entire adult life in our area, either at his old home on the 12th Line — where he and his wife, Lauretta, raised two children — or at their current home in Alcona.

Henry has always been a self-employed guy, whether as a farmer, fruit-and-vegetable wholesaler, or his current job as a real-estate sales representative.

Henry was raised to give back to the community.

He served on the management committee for the old Bradford arena to ensure it had solid financial footing, and he was a long-time local hockey coach.

He is a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, and he helped steward the budget as a member of the board of managers.

He is a current member of the Nantyr Park Association Board. He also regularly attended our town council meetings for the past three years as a concerned citizen.
