Woman charged in sex-trafficking probe after under-aged girls located in Barrie

A Windsor female has been arrested and charged in connection with a human trafficking investigation involving two under-aged females.

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, members of the DRPS Human Trafficking Unit located a sex trade advertisement featuring a 17-year-old female in Oshawa. Later, the location of the female had moved to Barrie, Ontario.

Our officers worked closely with the Barrie Police Service and located two 17-year-old females at a rented house in Barrie, along with the suspect.

Khadijah Sharpe-McNeil, age 25, of Windsor, Ontario, also known as "Icy," has been charged with: 

  • Obtain Sexual Services for Consideration Under 18;
  • Procuring/Recruit Person Under 18;
  • House Holder Permit Sexual Activity Under 18;
  • Sexual Exploitation of a Young Person;
  • Possess Child Pornography; and 
  • Distribute Child Pornography.

The DRPS Human Trafficking Unit would like to thank the Barrie Police Service for their assistance with this investigation.
