Police investigating multiple tire thefts

ORILLIA - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking for the public's assistance regarding a series of thefts.

Between the dates of Apr. 6, 2017 and May 1, 2017 the Orillia OPP responded to three calls for service where rims and tires were stolen off vehicles. The suspects have attended three separate Orillia area vehicle dealerships and proceeded to remove the rims from the vehicle.

The Orillia Community Street Crime Unit along with the Orillia OPP continues to investigate these incidents. The OPP is seeking assistance from the public as this crime would have taken some time to complete and there may be witnesses who have seen suspicious activity around the local dealerships. Police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed or have information regarding these incidents to call police immediately at 705-326-3536 or 1-888-310-1122.
