Pedestrian, 65, seriously injured in Bradford crash

Incident occurred at West Park and Holland Street West intersection shortly before 10 a.m. this morning

A woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Bradford this morning.

South Simcoe police and other emergency personnel responded to the incident, which occurred at the West Park Avenue and Holland Street West intersection March 11 at about 9:55 a.m.

The department says the 65-year-old pedestrian was crossing at the intersection when the collision happened. 

“Driver remained at the scene and is assisting with the investigation,” spokesperson Sue Sgambati said in an email. 

Police are appealing for witnesses, along with dash-cam or security footage of the incident. 

Partial road closures were in effect for several hours, but the incident has since been resolved.
