OPP speed blitz nets 30 speeders in two days

NEW TECUMSETH, ON - On Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12, 2017 members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Unit participated in a two-day blitz focusing on speeders through Tottenham. 

The enforcement took place in the area of Father FX O'Reilly School and the Tottenham Community Centre on Queen Street North.

Over 30 speeding charges were laid over the two days.

"The safety of our community's children is always a top priority of our officers" stated Traffic Sergeant Eric Steele.

Motorists are once again reminded to be extra vigilant and more attentive to monitoring their speed especially in the area of our schools and parks. Please remember it is everyone's responsibility to keep our communities safe.
