BARRIE, ONT. - At around 2:30 p.m. Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with EMS and Fire were advised of a collision on Highway #400 extension just north of the Highway #11 split, in the northbound lanes.
Initial investigation found that a van and a pickup truck towing a trailer are involved in the collision.
The three people in the pickup truck did not suffer any injuries, but the two people in the van were transported to a local area hospital, one female with life threatening injuries.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) is currently at the scene assisting in the investigation.
Highway #400 extension will be closed until at least 7 p.m. while police conduct their investigation.
