Motorcyclist airlifted after Highway 400 crash

TAY TOWNSHIP - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched at 3:54 p.m. May 21, 2018 pm to a report of a single motorcycle crash in the south bound lanes of Highway 400 in the area of Fesserton Side Road, Tay Township.

Officers attended as well as members of the Tay Township Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedic Service.

The lone 55-year-old male driver was treated at the scene which was located in the centre median of the highway.

The driver was transported to Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland and was then transported to a Toronto area hospital by Ornge for further treatment of his injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the attending officers.
