Innisfil man charged with drunk driving

INNISFIL, ON - On Saturday, September 3, 2016, just before 6 p.m., South Simcoe Police received a call of a possible impaired driver travelling northbound on Yonge Street in Innisfil.  

Officers were able to catch up to the vehicle and stopped it. Police spoke to the male driver and it was confirmed that he had been consuming alcohol. The driver was given a road side screening device test which resulted in fail. 

The driver was arrested for Over 80 Milligrams and taken to the police station for further breath tests which confirmed that he was over the legal limit.  

A 51-year-old Innisfil man is charged with Drive Over 80 mgs. His license has been suspended for 90 days, and his car impounded. He will appear in court at a later date.
