A pedestrian received non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in downtown Barrie early Sunday morning.
City police received a call at 2:23 a.m. on April 14 about a female pedestrian having been struck near the intersection of Bayfield and Sophia streets.
“A female pedestrian received non-life-threatening injuries transported to nearby hospital for medical treatment,” confirmed Peter Leon, the department’s communications co-ordinator, adding the vehicle involved remained on the scene.
Barrie police, Barrie Fire and Simcoe County paramedics all attended and provided assistance, noted Leon.
The investigation remains ongoing and no other information was available.
