A Barrie police traffic unit shows a radar measurement for a vehicle in the city's south end, Friday night.

Barrie police say a driver was caught going 136 kilometres per hour in a 50 km/h zone last night on Mapleview Drive in the city's south end.

That's 86 kilometres per hour over the speed limit.

An officer from the traffic unit was conducting other enforcement, such as laying "multiple charges" for noisy vehicles, when the speeding car was stopped.

The driver charged with stunt driving and their vehicle was impounded.
