A Barrie woman is facing five charges following a collision Monday south of Orillia.

Orillia OPP responded to the single-vehicle collision on Highway 11 at Line 14 in Oro-Medonte shortly after 8 p.m.

Police said the driver wasn’t able to navigate the off-ramp turn and crashed the vehicle into a wooded area.

A 34-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs), operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus), driving with an open container of liquor, driving without a licence, and being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol concentration above zero.

She was released on an undertaking and is set to appear May 2 in Orillia court. Her licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded.
