On May 14, 2023 Phyllis Wilhelm (nee Addison) of Barrie, Ontario passed away at the age of 86 years at Royal Victoria hospital in Barrie, Ontario. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Raymond Wilhelm and son Robert Hunt. She was also mother to David Hunt of North Carolina and Susan Hunt of British Columbia. Phyllis was grandmother to Russell, Kayla, Danielle, Jillian, Graham, Storm and Alex. Great grandmother to Myleigh, Maicee, Ava, Wyatt, Maggie, James, Ainsley, Graham and Dawson. Phyllis was a sibling to John Addison (deceased) Bruce Addison, Sylvia Richards, Joy Addison and Donna Grightmire.
Phyllis enjoyed her years operating 'The Mill' outdoor education center with her first husband Harry Hunt in Wyevale, Ontario and was a teacher, a graphic designer and enjoyed playing the piano at church and at home. In her retirement years she wintered in Florida with her husband Ray Wilhelm where they had many enjoyable years with dozens of friends from all over the US and Canada.
In her final days, she was surrounded by loved ones and passed away peacefully. She was a resident of Owen Hill Community Care and member of the Bethel Community Church for many years. Phyllis will be missed by many friends and family members. Her clever wit, lively conversation and positive attitude were an inspiration to all that knew her.
