Muriel Watty, born on March 3rd, 1957, in Geraldton, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the age of 66.

Known for her fun-loving spirit and adventurous nature, as a French Immersion supply teacher Muriel had an infectious energy that brightened every classroom she entered. With a heart full of compassion and an unwavering commitment to her students, she created a warm and inclusive learning environment where everyone felt valued and supported.

Outside of the classroom, Muriel found much enjoyment in her life. She had a deep love for her family, cherished her time spent at the cottage in the summer with family and friends and relaxing in Florida during the winter months. Whether it was discovering new cultures while following Glen’s career in aviation or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Muriel's adventurous spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her.
