Passed away peacefully at Mill Creek Care Centre, Barrie on April 8th, 2024 at the age of 90. Beloved husband and best friend of Anita Vanin (nee Cervi) for over 65 years. Honoured father of Paola Matthews (Grant), Andy Vanin (Tanya), and Louis Vanin. Cherished nonno of Jessica (Tim), Katherine (Matt), Andrew, Greysen, and bisnonno of Olivia, Liam, and Emily. Predeceased by his brothers Amaddeo, Arcangelo, Giovanni, Gino, Eliseo, Emilio, Giuseppe, and sister Maria. Survived by his sister Bertilla, as well as many nieces and nephews in Italy. Liberale will be sadly missed by many long-time friends and colleagues in the Barrie area. He will forever be remembered and respected for his work ethic and unquestionable dedication and deep love of family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Parish, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at 12:30 PM, with private family entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Vaughan. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
