Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, on Saturday April 4, 2020 in her 87th year with her son Rick by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her long-time partner Gordon Roberts, dear mother of her sons Des (Joyce) of Medicine Hat AB; Rick (Patti) of Barrie; her daughter Cindy Mitchell (Ron) of Calgary AB. Cherished Grandmother to Janell Stewart, Charlie Stewart, Josh Stewart, Cailey Gibson, Danny Mitchell and Nicole Goede. Proud Great Grandmother to 11 great grandchildren and was excited to see her 12th. She was predeceased by her two brothers Francis and Charlie Jermey; two sisters Violet Carson; Phyllis Favero and is survived by her sister Grace Pauk. Marlene was born and raised in Barrie, Ont. and worked for many years at Copper Tool (Lufkin Rule). She enjoyed baking, gardening, watching her birds and drives in the country with her niece Nancy (Bob) Stephenson. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at RVH for their care and kindness. As per Marlene’s wishes their will be no service.
